Roland de Vries, our Chief Instructor is Windmaster Paragliding. Roland found his love of aviation in parachuting, serving as an Army Officer. He then saw a paragliding poster and signed up for a course immediately.

As his passion grew so did his rating and today Roland is a sport pilot, tandem pilot and an enthusiastic, qualified instructor. Roland boasts over 4000 hours of airtime and over 3500 flights.

Windmaster Paragliding Academy is based in Sedgefield in the heart of the Garden Route, which has many magnificent coastal & coastal thermic sites, all in close proximity to one another. The area offers fantastic flying all year with the best conditions from October to June. Training conditions are best between January and April.

The Garden Route truly has something adventurous for everyone and Windmaster Paragliding offers the best of all these activities and also gives you the best vantage point - from the air!
