Roland de Vries, our Chief Instructor and Tandem Pilot, started his paragliding career in 1997, and soon found a new orn passion. Being who he is, Roland wanted to share it with the world, and in 2000 Windmaster Paragliding was born. Since then Roland has put over 7000 smiles on faces.
Based in the lovely coastal village of Sedgefield (*voted Africa’s first ’Slow Town’ in 2010), Windmaster Paragliding offers all the fun and scenery one person can absorb. Other than Paragliding, Sedgefield offers heaps more to do and see, it doesn’t matter if you’re just “average Joe Soap”, or the fun, thrill seeking, adrenaline junky, there’s something to do for everyone!

Definition: Paragliding is a recreational and competitive flying sport. A paraglider is a free-flying, foot-launched aircraft. The pilot sits in a harness suspended below a fabric wing, whose shape is formed by its suspension lines and the pressure of air entering vents in the front of the wing.
